The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Missing person--Feb. 4, 11:34 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. A woman was in a parking lot looking for her 70-year-old father. He was supposed to have left the Town Center Mall area at 9:30 p.m. and ridden his bike home to Cupertino.

Grand theft--Feb. 4, 3:46 p.m., 1500 block of Tenaka Place. A man had a motorized scooter, bike and other items chained together in a carport, and they were all stolen.

Hazardous materials--Feb. 4, 2:51 a.m., 300 block of E. Remington Drive. A hole punched in a gas tank caused gasoline to spill onto the street. It looked like someone had tried to steal gasoline from the tank.

Theft--Feb. 3, 11:50 a.m., 300 block of S. Sunnyvale Avenue. A bicycle that was locked in a carport on Tuesday night had been stolen by Wednesday morning. A cut lock was found nearby.

Drunk in public--Feb. 3, 12:50 a.m., 700 block of Old San Francisco Road. A tenant called the landlord to report an unknown man was sleeping under their window. They could not see the man, but they could hear him.

Theft--Feb. 3, 12:43 p.m., 1300 block of Chesapeake Terraces. During a work conference lunch, a Dell Latitude laptop computer was left in a different room and stolen. The laptop was worth $200.

Burglary--Feb. 1, 10:50 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. A man returned to his home to find that his door appeared to have been kicked in and then resecured at some point.
