Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Suspicious circumstances--March 11, 8:08 p.m., 800 Lakechime Drive. A large amount of smoke was seen coming out of a bathroom.

Vandalism--March 11, 1:57 p.m., 900 block of E. Duane Avenue. A man's car was scratched and the windows were broken. A security guard witnessed the vandalism.

Commercial burglary--March 10, 10:33 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. At 9:30 p.m., two men were seen in a store, breaking into a display case and stealing sunglasses, watches and other items.

Theft--March 10, 9:11 p.m., 1400 block of Flicker Way. Approximately $400 worth of tools were taken from a tool box in the back of a man's truck sometime in the last hour.

Drunk in public--March 10, 3:52 p.m., 1200 block of Wildwood Avenue. A 50-year-old man in bright yellow rain pants and a gray sweater was causing a disturbance in a bar and refusing to leave.

Commercial burglary--March 9, 8:42 p.m., 1000 block of E. El Camino Real. A man in a black hooded jacket reached under a counter and stole a woman's purse.

Found property--March 9, 7:11 a.m., 1300 block of Kingfisher Way. A man found a gun in some bushes. He said it looked like a .45, but it may have been a toy.

Theft--March 8, 10:30 p.m., 500 block of E. El Camino Real. A man had a plastic bag--with $150 worth of clothes inside it--stolen out of the bed of his pickup truck.
