The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Assault--March 8, 12:13 p.m., 700 block of Borregas Avenue. Four or five people were seen fighting.

Battery--March 8, 9:18 a.m., 700 block of Morse Avenue. Two pugilists were detained in an office.

Automobile burglary--March 8, 4:59 a.m., 800 block of E. Fremont Avenue. A woman called the Department of Public Safety for her mother, who was hysterical after discovering that someone had smashed a window on her daughter's silver Toyota Echo.

Identity theft--March 7, 5:42 p.m., 300 block of America Avenue. Someone used a man's personal information to open accounts with Sprint and South Western. Both accounts were in default.

Mail theft--March 7, 3:02 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. An unknown person stole a package from a woman's mailbox on Feb. 27. A mail inspector told the woman that he would not take a report.

Found property--March 7, 1:26 p.m., S. Mathilda and Olive Avenues. A black wallet was found near the intersection of S. Mathilda and Olive avenues.

Domestic violence--March 7, 5:33 a.m., 1700 block of Linnet Lane. A man and woman got in a verbal argument while driving. He pulled the car over and physically dragged her out of the car and onto the curb before driving away without her.
