Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Request for assistance--March 25, 9:50 p.m., 600 block of E. Taylor Avenue. An unidentified man wearing a denim jacket was walking around a home knocking on doors and banging on windows.

Property damage--March 25, 7:49 p.m., 1200 block of W. El Camino Real. A fast-food employee saw the door to a dentist's office next door had been broken. It looked as if a car had crashed into the building.

Theft--March 25, 4:35 p.m., 100 block of Skylake Court. The rear license plate was stolen from a man's 1994 Geo Prizm. There are no suspects or leads.

Loitering--March 24, 9:35 a.m., 1000 block of E. El Camino Real. The owner of a building contacted the Department of Public Safety to report three transients in front of his building.

Drunk in public--March 22, 11:02 p.m., 1100 block of W. Iowa Avenue. A man's cousin hit him in the face and refused to leave.

Commercial burglary--March 22, 6:01 p.m., 1700 block of Noranda Drive. Unknown people drilled into a washing machine and dryer in an apartment complex and stole an unknown amount of change.

Theft--March 22, 9:30 a.m., 100 block of E. Fremont Avenue. Someone stole a wallet containing more than $400 out of a sweater that had been left on a gym floor.

Vandalism--March 22, 6:59 a.m., 700 block of Morse Avenue. Someone sprayed graffiti in a bathroom.
