The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Automobile burglary--April 29, 11:36 p.m., 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. Two men were caught breaking into vehicles. They were detained in the back of a parking lot. No weapons were found.
Lost item--April 29, 8:38 p.m., 100 block of N. Murphy Avenue. A woman said she left her purse on a table in a bar. She noticed it was missing around 1:30 a.m.
Grand theft--April 29, 4:39 p.m., 500 block of N. Lawrence Expressway. Someone stole a police scanner worth more than $500.
Theft--April 29, 5:16 p.m., 700 block of W. El Camino Real. Someone stole a pink Motorola RAZR phone from a store.
Disturbing the peace--April 27, 11:26 p.m., 1100 block of Ayala Drive. A man told the police three men were waiting outside his house to fight him. He believed they were part of the Norteño gang. He had been partying with them earlier, and he believes they may be under the control of a controlled substance.
Grand theft--April 27, 6:20 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. A woman left her laptop computer on the trunk of her car while she moved other items from the car into her home. By the time she got back to her car, the computer was gone.
Grand theft--April 27, 4:44 p.m., 700 block of E. El Camino Real. Two cell phones were stolen within the past week from a store. They were worth $400 each. The store managers have not watched the security videos yet.
