Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Automobile burglary--June 17, 7:39 a.m., 1000 block of Bryant Way. A man called the Department of Public Safety to report his car has just been broken into. He did not see anyone around.

Possible domestic violence--June 17, 6:10 a.m., 5 p.m., Parkington Avenue. Someone heard a woman screaming as if she was in an argument. There was also a sound of objects being broken.

Threats--June 16, 8:21 p.m., 1600 block of Hollenbeck Avenue. A woman was receiving harassing text messages from her ex-boyfriend. Both people were inside the same grocery store at the time, but were not there together.

Theft--June 16, 2:02 p.m., W. El Camino Real. Someone stole an American Express credit card out of a man's wallet. The wallet was in his car while it was parked at a car wash.

Grand theft--June 16, 12:25 p.m., 1500 block of Blackhawk Drive. A cleaning woman may have stolen $2,000 or $3,000 worth of jewelry from a woman's home in the past few weeks.

Theft--June 15, 10 a.m., 600 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. Someone stole two suitcases from a man's vehicle while he was moving luggage from the vehicle to a room. He was away from his vehicle for less than five minutes.

Residential burglary--June 14, 1:57 p.m., 600 block of E. Weddell Drive. A woman returned to her home to find her door open, her jewelry box rifled and all her animals missing.
