Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Residential burglary--June 24, 3:16 a.m., 1200 block of Ayala Drive. An unknown person entered a home through an open kitchen window and stole three laptop computers, a fax machine and a Playstation portable video game system.
Theft--June 23, 3:28 p.m., 400 block of Wisteria Terraces. A man left a laptop computer that belonged to his employer on the passenger seat of his unlocked car. It was stolen.
Theft--June 23, 12:19 a.m., 700 block of E. El Camino Real. A man's wallet was stolen around 11:20 a.m. by unknown people. It contained $360, four credit cards, a spare car key and a California driver's license.
Found property--June 22, 5:25 p.m., 700 block of All America Way. A parent found an Airsoft toy gun in a son's room and wanted it booked into the Department of Public Safety to be destroyed.
Theft--June 22, 4:50 p.m., El Camino Real and S. Wolfe Road. A man left down the window of the vehicle he was borrowing, and someone reached in and stole the man's wallet and his camera.
Vandalism--June 22, 1:15 p.m., 100 block of W. Persian Drive. A man's car was "keyed" in a parking lot. He believes the vandalism was done by a former employee who had recently lost his job.
Tampering with a vehicle--June 21, 3:24 p.m., 600 block of W. El Camino Real. A man said the vehicle identification number plate from the dashboard of his car was removed while it was being serviced.
