Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Theft--July 20, 5:14 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. Department of Public Safety officers chasing a man were able to retrieve property he stole because he dropped his pants while he was running away.

Forgery--July 20. 3:58 p.m., 300 block of Altair Way. An employee of a business stole a check and cashed it. The employee was not at work when the crime was reported.

Theft--July 20, 7:43 a.m., 900 block of E. Caribbean Drive. Sometime between 6:50 and 7 p.m., an unknown person stole three aluminum baseball bats from a baseball field's dugout.

Theft--July 19, 10:14 p.m., 400 block of Rockefeller Drive. An unknown person stole the muffler off a man's 1995 Toyota 4-runner. The loss was less than $400.

Petty theft--July 19, 9:52 p.m., 400 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. An 18-year old male in a long gray shirt stole liquor from a store and fled south on Mathilda Avenue.

Theft--July 19, 9:15 p.m., 100 block of E. El Camino Real. A Denali bicycle was stolen while the owner was shopping. It had been left locked outside the store.

Threats--July 19, 10:56 p.m., 200 block of Old San Francisco Road. A man threatened a pharmacist while requesting some medications. He told the pharmacist that he would come by and "put a gun in your mouth and shoot you."
