Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Fraud--Aug. 12, 10:30 p.m., 800 block of W. El Camino Real. A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a business. The man who got the bill was contacted by the Redwood City Police Department, which said it had similar incidences in Redwood City and may have had the man responsible in custody.

Found property--Aug. 12, 4 p.m., 700 block of Daffodil Court. Someone found a purse with blood on it near some tennis courts.

Stolen vehicle--Aug. 11, 5:15 p.m., 500 block of E. Arbor Avenue. An unknown person stole a 1989 Toyota Camry sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Causing a disturbance--Aug. 11, 12:31 p.m., 700 block of S. Wolfe Road. A resident reported being tired of hearing the neighbors fighting. Asked about the location of the disturbance, the line disconnected.

Found property--Aug. 11, 11:24 a.m., W. Remington Drive. A resident found a purse but wanted the Department of Public Safety to return it because the resident had problems with the purse's owner in the past.

Vehicle damage--Aug. 10, 10:07 p.m., East El Camino Real. A woman's ex-boyfriend damaged her white Saturn outside a liquor store near an intersection.

Theft--Aug. 10, 9:44 p.m., 700 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. A customer's purse was stolen by another customer inside a store.
