The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Theft--Aug. 26, 6:29 p.m., 600 block of Grand Fir Avenue. A man's wallet was stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The wallet contained his California driver's license, social security card, credit cards and $21 in cash.
Theft--Aug. 26, 1:04 p.m., 1600 block of Hollenbeck Avenue. A woman's wallet was stolen from her shopping cart while she was inside a grocery store. The wallet contained $40 in cash, her ATM card and other miscellaneous cards.
Theft--Aug. 26, 9:53 p.m., 1600 block of Queen Charlotte Drive. A woman left her car unlocked overnight and someone stole an unknown number of coins from inside.
Driving under the influence--Aug 25, 4:29 p.m., 100 block of N. Sunnyvale Avenue. A driver who may have been drinking wound up on a man's driveway after crashing through some ivy and hitting a boat.
Grand theft--Aug. 25, 8:57 a.m., 900 block of DeGuigne Drive. About $9,000 worth of construction tools was stolen from a construction site.
Commercial burglary--Aug. 25, 7:56 a.m., 500 block of E. Weddell Drive. A gray Toyota Tundra was stolen from a business site. Inside the truck, in a locked box, was an unloaded handgun. The business was also burglarized.
Vandalism--Aug. 24, 9:56 p.m., 700 block of The Dalles Avenue. A man who had been drinking started a fight with a group of fencers. The man--tall and wearing a red bandana--broke a recreation center window as well.
