Bickering over Hamilton
babies is embarrassing

I am embarrassed to be associated with any Sunnyvale resident who is dumb enough to attack politicians based upon human factors such as race or sex, rather than their actual politics.

Our fathers decided to reimburse city council members for their time and health care at a mere fraction of what one would consider a living wage in Sunnyvale. It was expected their council positions would be part-time work. And while many see only the two to four hours of weekly meetings as the actual time spent by these people, they are only seeing the tip of this iceberg. These council members are responsible for being well versed on every multi-paged document that comes before the council, attend meetings associated with other activities (for example VTA and neighborhood issues) and city ceremonies. They also respond to people like me who send letters complaining about everything.

It's a lot of work.

Let's visit the selection criteria these resident bozos have come up with. You can't be a woman because you may end up getting pregnant, have hot flashes or develop Alzheimer's. You can't be overweight because everyone who's overweight gets diabetes and high blood pressure, and will die prematurely. You can't have smoked because you might get lung cancer. You can't be a man because you might get prostate cancer. You can't be a parent because you might have to take time off to attend some lame back-to-school night that was scheduled on a Tuesday night.

Oh well, we just can't have city councils because no one qualifies.

Stop being so stupid.

Regardless of my views toward any of our council members, my votes will be based upon their political views and voting records.
