The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Drunk in public--Sept. 16, 6:41 p.m., 900 block of E. El Camino Real. A man called to report that another man was sleeping in the bushes in front of a patio near a parking space. The caller sounded "very saucer-faced," was slurring his words and saying the sleeping man needed to go to rehab.
Automobile burglary--Sept. 16, 9:11 a.m., 100 block of E. Fremont Avenue. A store's customer called the Department of Public Safety to report at least two cars in a parking lot had been broken into.
Residential burglarySept. 16, 1:39 a.m., 1100 block of W. Iowa Avenue. A caller said another person had entered their garage, and they now wanted that person detained.
Theft--Sept. 15, 9:29 p.m., 1600 block of Hollenbeck Avenue. A man's hip bag was stolen from his shopping cart. It contained his passport, foreign license, job ID card, $100 in cash and credit cards.
ID theft--Sept. 15, 5:37 p.m., 1600 block of Kamsack Drive. Chase Bank called a customer to report someone was using his personal information to open a linked checking account in Canoga Park.
Found property--Sept. 15, 10:57 a.m., 300 block of Greenlake Drive. A man picked up some items belonging to his cousin's girlfriend and found a pipe.
Fraud--Sept. 13, 11:01 a.m., 800 block of Lewis Avenue. A woman's boyfriend used her credit card several times without her authorization.
