Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Causing a disturbance--Oct. 14, 8:02 a.m., 500 block of E. McKinley Avenue. A man called the Department of Public Safety to report tree cutting and other miscellaneous landscaping being done too early in the morning. The alleged work was going on across the street near a water tower.
Request for serviceOct. 13, 6:01 p.m., 900 block of W. El Camino Real. A man passed out in back of a fast food restaurant. He appeared to be next to a bike.
Theft--Oct. 13, 1:33 p.m., 500 block of Fort Laramie Drive. A woman said her cell phone had been stolen two weeks earlier from her home. She thinks her cousin took it.
Theft--Oct. 13, 10:54 a.m., 800 block of Alturas Avenue. A resident's license plate was stolen off the car. The person was advised to remove the other plate immediately and go to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Causing a disturbance--Oct. 12, 5:39 p.m., 500 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. Approximately 10 people were seen and heard partying and playing loud music near a barbecue area.
Theft--Oct. 12, 2:56 p.m., 150 block of Lawrence Station. A woman's purse was stolen from her shopping cart. Security personnel said they had watched a security camera tape and think they had identified the person responsible.
Trespassing--Oct. 11, 4:47 p.m., 800 block of Acacia Avenue. A resident's unwanted stepson was in her back yard.
