Town Center Update

The Sun periodically provides updates on the $400 million Town Center redevelopment project headed by Sand Hill Property Co.

*Construction of street-level retail stores on Blocks 1 and 2 (along McKinley, Taaffe and Washington avenues) continues.

*Plans have been submitted to the city for the residential units that will be built above the street level retail.

*Construction of parking garages on Blocks 1 and 2 is reaching the third level above the street.

*Installation of the soil gas collection system and new monitoring wells on the east side of the project area is complete, and vapor extraction is expected to begin by Jan.16.

*The change in water pressure zones was completed last week.
