Town Center Update
The Sun periodically provides updates on the $400 million Town Center redevelopment project headed by Sand Hill Property Co.
*Construction of parking garages in the two westerly blocks of the development continues to be a priority. Work has moved to the third level.
*Work on retail spaces along McKinley and Washington avenues and Taaffe Street continues.
*Sound mitigation was completed for the second soil vapor extraction unit. Both units are now operating with the goal of completing the cleanup by this summer.
*Excavation in streets around the project is underway to confirm location of existing utilities before starting widening and utility work in those perimeter streets.
