The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Auto theft--March 8, 10:12 p.m., 800 block of Lake Haven Drive. A resident heard people tampering with his car outside his home.
Assault with deadly weapon--March 8, 1:38 a.m., 1100 block of N. Lawrence Expressway. Someone was assaulted with a glass bottle. An 18-year old San Jose resident was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Vandalism--March 7, 9:32 a.m., 800 block of Del Rey Avenue. Someone reported vandalism to their sliding door.
Auto burglary--March 7, 9:23 a.m., 200 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. Someone burglarized a 2008 blue Scion.
Theft--March 7, 8:50 p.m., 500 block of Granger Terrace. Several wallets and purses with credit cards and driver's licenses were left near a Dumpster behind a building.
Theft--March 7, 6:17 a.m., 800 block of W. Ahwanee Avenue. Someone reported a stolen $5,000 paint sprayer.
Theft--March 7, 1000 block of Morse Avenue. The theft of a rear license plate tag from a vehicle was reported.
Auto theft--March 6, 9:08 p.m., 1500 block of Lewiston Drive. Someone stole a 2007 blue Toyota Prius Hybrid.
Theft--March 6, 9:31a.m 300 block of W. Java Drive. Someone stole two large satellite receivers valued at $12,000 from the roof of a building.
Hit and run--March 6, 7:46 a.m., 1500 block of Quebec Court. Someone reported their car was struck. The suspect fled.
Auto burglary--March 5, 4:55 p.m., 500 block of S. Eden Avenue. Someone broke into a black Honda Civic and tampered with its ignition.
Theft--March 5, 4:25 p.m., 1100 block of Crocus Court. Tools were taken from an unlocked garage.
Auto theft--March 5, 12:37 P.M., 500 block of E. Weddell Drive. Someone reported a company van was stolen.
Auto burglary--March 5, 12:36 p.m., 500 block of Ahwanee Avenue. Someone broke into a car and stole a stereo and money orders.
Auto burglary--March 5, 3:10 a.m., 1000 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. Someone broke into a black Honda Civic, took items and "punched" the ignition.
Theft--March 4, 5:48 p.m., 700 block of Lakechime Drive. A bike valued at $750 was stolen in front of a residence.
Found--March 4, 8:09 a.m., 1000 block of W. Iowa Avenue. Someone found a checkbook and wallet.
Fraud--March 3, 4:51 p.m., 1300 block of Sydney Drive. Someone used a woman's Social Security number to open a Qwest account in her name.
Theft--March 3, 1:54 p.m., 900 block of Almanor Avenue. Someone stole a guitar valued at $1,000 from a storage closet.
Lewd Conduct--March 2, 7:40 p.m. A 32-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested on suspicion of seven counts of a lewd or lascivious act on a child.
Vandalism--March 2, 4:15 p.m., 500 block of Dunholme Way. Someone sprayed graffiti on portable classrooms, a PG&E transformer box and other places.
Burglary--March 2, 10:38 a.m., 100 block of E. Remington Drive. Someone broke into a locked shed.
