Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Burglary--March 29, 8:20 p.m., 600 block of Grand Fir Avenue. Someone broke into a room and stole mail.

Auto burglary--March 29, 12:00 p.m. 100 block of Locksunart Way. Someone broke into a blue Mazda Protégé.

Theft--March 29, 11:02 a.m. 300 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. The rear license plates were stolen from a 2004 Honda Civic.

Vandalism--March 29, 8:43 a.m. 300 block of N. Mathilda Avenue. A Honda automobile was vandalized.

Theft--March 29, 8:38 p.m., 600 block of Toyon Avenue. Someone stole a radio, stroller and miscellaneous items.

Assault--March 28, 3:29 p.m., Hollenbeck Avenue. Someone picked a fight with another person.

Vandalism--March 28, 3:26 p.m., 100 block of Tasman Drive. The tires of a car were slashed.

Theft--March 28, 11:41 a.m. 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue. Someone stole the bicycle from the back of a car.

Theft--March 28, 10:49 a.m, 200 block of Twinlake Drive. Someone stole hundreds of dollars in cash from a purse.

Burglary--March 27, 7:14 p.m. 1200 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. A television and other items were reported stolen from an apartment.

Auto theft--March 27, 3:11 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. Someone stole a purple 2006 Harley Davidson Fatboy motorcycle.

Auto accident--March 26, 5:28 p.m. Lockheed Martin. A silver Camaro went over a median, knocked over a tree and had three flat tires.

Drugs--March 26, 6:14 p.m., 1200 block of Gainsborough Drive. Someone found a bag of marijuana on the curb.

Theft--March 26, 7:52 a.m. 1100 block of Sunnyvale/Saratoga Road. Someone siphoned gasoline from a Ford Explorer.

Auto burglary--March 25, 9:42 p.m., 1300 block S. Mary Avenue. Someone broke into a silver Toyota Corolla and stole a GPS unit.

Theft--March 25, 3:54 p.m. 500 block of Market Street. Someone withdrew cash from a bank account without the account holder's permission.

Theft--March 25, 2:29 p.m. 200 block of N. Sunnyvale Avenue. A garage door opener was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Burglary--March 25, 11:50 a.m. 1200 block of W. El Camino Real. Someone broke into a locked room and stole "high-end" alcohol.

Assault--March 25, 12:59 a.m. 900 block of E. Duane Avenue. Someone tried to get into a nightclub after being denied entry. The person then challenged the club security guard to a fight.
