Town Center Update

The Sun periodically provides updates on the $400 million Town Center redevelopment project headed by Sand Hill Property Co.

*Architectural walls and elevator enclosures for the west side parking garages are being formed and poured. Stairways, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems are being installed in the interior of both garages.

*Concrete slabs for residential units above the retail stores along Washington, Taaffe and McKinley are being poured.

*Utility work and widening of the south side of Washington Avenue east of Mathilda Avenue continues.

*Street-level concrete slabs for the two office buildings on the west side of the project are being poured.

*Foundation excavation for retail buildings on the south side of Macy's near Redwood Square is under way.

*The project fence on the east side of the project is being moved further east to accommodate work on pads for retail buildings south of Macy's.
