Library book and bake sale is Jan. 27
The Friends of the Willow Glen Library is hosting a used book and bake sale on Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 1157 Minnesota Ave. All proceeds from the event, which is the primary fundraiser for the library, will benefit the Willow Glen Branch Library. Mentoring program needs volunteers
The Role Model Program is looking for volunteers to deliver a fun, interactive curriculum called Dare to Dream to middle school students in Santa Clara County for the spring semester. Valentine's Day show
Art Made to Match gallery in San Jose presents the "Heaven and Hell" Valentine's Day show, opening with a reception on Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. at the gallery, 1000 Lincoln Ave. The show is composed of the work of 11 artists, and includes themes of angels, hearts, celestial objects and the devil. Gifts and jewelry are also available. The "Heaven and Hell" show will remain until the installation of the stained glass show on Feb. 24. Art Night at Willow Glen Elementary
Willow Glen Elementary is holding its second annual Art Night on Jan. 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The elementary school's PTA is hosting the family night, which will include live jazz by the Bellarmine Jazz Ensemble, followed by an evening of art making, during which families can participate in projects led by art docents from the parent art program. 'Caring for Kids' fundraiser is Jan. 24
