    Rams win, tie

The Willow Glen boys soccer team pounded Del Mar 15-0 last week, but were tied 1-1 by Andrew Hill two days later.

Still, the Rams hold onto first place in the Santa Teresa Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League with a 6-0-3 record with three games left to play in the regular season. Willow Glen is 11-1-5 for the year.

Oscar Garcia scored a goal off a Ramon Duran assist in the first three minutes of the game, but Hill scored in the final moments of play to tie the Rams 1-1.

Goalkeeper Christian Jimenez starred defensively for the Rams.

"He had some awesome saves," said Willow Glen coach Sue Parisi. "He had five that were very difficult."

The Rams were coming off an easy 15-0 win over the Dons. Duran, Osbie Gonzales, Dustin Cohen, Daniel Villafuerte and Gilbert Lozaya knocked in two goals apiece, and Jimenez, Juan Rivera, Saul Villatoro, Jose Diaz and Rudy Ochoa scored one each. Hugo Sigala chipped in with three saves.

The Rams were to visit Valley Christian on Feb. 1 and will host Piedmont Hills on Feb. 3 in a couple of 3:15 p.m. games. Willow Glen finishes up league play the following Thursday at Lincoln.
