The Willow Glen ResidentSeniors BriefsBallroom dancing and fete at Willows Center It's swing time at the Willows Senior Center as the center holds a spring dance and ballroom dance exhibition on Friday, Feb. 20. DJ Don Cruse will fill the center's auditorium at 2175 Lincoln Ave. with tunes from the 1930s, '40s and '50s. The dance will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Members of the center's monthly ballroom dance class should provide some entertainment as well, demonstrating dances such as the samba and the waltz. The dance is open to the public, and admission is $2. The center has also scheduled a Chinese New Year's celebration for Friday, Feb. 27. The event is still in the early planning stages, but organizers hope to have entertainment and Chinese food and decorations. Open to all, the celebration will also be held in the center's auditorium and will cost $5. For information on either of these events, call Judy York, assistant senior center director, at 448-6400.
