DeCinzo cartoon is in poor taste
I found the DeCinzo cartoon about Willow Glen group homes and terrorism in the Jan. 23 issue of the Resident to be in poor taste, especially to run it next to the wonderful letter by Riley Palmer about her own commitment to running a nursing home. The proximity of the cartoon to Palmer's letter diminished the positive impact of her sentiments about the need for respectful and dignified homes for the elderly.
In addition, to print this cartoon on the page facing a Baha'i faith extended advertisement about peace and tolerance seems to spit in the face of the comments and ideas presented in that ad.
By running cartoons such as this one so near the Baha'i faith advertisement, the Resident does the exact opposite of encouraging peace and acceptance.
