AAUW Scholarships for Young Women
The American Association of University Women is offering scholarships to three eligible young women. The San Jose branch is offering two $1,500 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship. A writing contest will be held for applicants on March 3, at 9 a.m. at Willow Glen High School. The contest is open to any woman who is either a senior in a Santa Clara County high school or a student at a community college who has earned no more than 30 transferable college units as of March 2001. Ballet school holding auditions for program
Ballet San Jose School will hold scholarship auditions for Summer Dance 2001, its summer dance intensive, on March 3, at 2 p.m. at the studio at 40 N. First St., San Jose. The summer program will run July 9 through Aug. 3. Scholarships are available to strong intermediate and advanced students only, ages 12 through 18. There is a $20 audition fee.
