    WG boys, girls in hoop playoffs

    The Willow Glen boys and girls basketball teams hope to play in the Central Coast Section Division II playoffs this week.

    The Willow Glen girls, champions in the West Valley Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League, take their 15-8 season record to Monterey (14-11) for a 7 p.m. game on Feb. 22. The winner visits St. Francis (22-4) on Feb. 24, 7 p.m., with the winner of that game advancing to play on Feb. 26, 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant against the Sequoia (14-11)-Santa Clara (13-12) winner.

    The boys, 15-10 for the year, open at home against Yerba Buena (13-11) on Feb. 23, 7 p.m., with the winner to face the Westmont (16-11)-Woodside (24-5) winner on Feb. 26, 6:15 p.m., at Bellarmine.
