Stargazer: Ralph is a 1-year-old, orange-and-white tabby cat with a sweet personality. His previous owners surrendered Ralph to the Humane Society because they could no longer care for him. Ralph loves to be brushed and petted for hours on end. He intends to do his part to end pet overpopulation by being neutered prior to adoption. For more information on adopting Ralph, or one of the other wonderful cats, dogs or rabbits at the Humane Society, call Leslie at 408.727.3383 ext. 854. The Humane Society is open seven days a week. Adoption fees are $60 for cats and $70 for dogs. The fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, spaying or neutering, a thorough health examination, educational materials and much more.
Hear, Hear!: Erica Lann-Clark grew up in an immigrant family, listening to stories about relatives who had perished in the Holocaust. Inspired by the richness of these tales, she became an actress and an award-winning playwright in New York's off-Broadway theaters. She has been telling stories professionally for 10 years, incorporating personal narrative, world tales and Jewish folklore with a feminist twist. Lann-Clarke leads seminars, teaches drama and is artist-in-residence at Toro Park School in Monterey. This "sizzling storyteller" will present her show "No Apologies Needed" at Stone Church of Willow Glen on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 children/students, at the door.
