    Willow Glen splits

Senior center Ben Fuller tossed in 45 points in two games, but the best the Willow Glen boys basketball team could manage was a split in the Central Coast Section Division II playoffs.

The Rams opened the postseason with a 58-51 win over South San Francisco, but they lost 77-51 a few days later to face elimination.

Still, it was quite a showing for Willow Glen. The Rams ended up 15-11 for the year, and made it to the CCS quarterfinals.

Fuller poured in 29 points, but it wasn't enough against the Pirates. He had a three-pointer among his 11 field goals, and he added six points at the free-throw line.

Senior guard Manny Myers hit a couple of threes on his way to 10 points. Nich Holt added nine points, including a three, and Guy Beahn had three points.

Earlier in the week, Myers fired up 17 points and Fuller had 16 in the 58-51 win over South San Francisco. Beahm chipped in with 12 points and Holt joined the others in double digits with 10. Myers drilled three three-pointers, Beahm hit two and Holt had one.

Eric Dean added two points for the Rams in the win and Cory Hare had one.
