    Jayme Kelly Curtis sings with jazz trio

    Singer/songwriter Jayme Kelly Curtis will be performing in concert with guitarist Bruce Argyle and the Walter Bankovitch Jazz Trio on March 10, at 8 p.m. at the Willow Glen Coffee Roasting Company, 1383 Lincoln Ave. There is no charge for the performance.     SJ Children's Theater goes 'Into the Woods'

    San Jose Children's Musical Theater will present the performance of Into the Woods, on March 9-18, at the Montgomery Theater, Market and San Carlos streets, San Jose. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under. The theater group also will present the production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! on March 1-4.     Friends of West Valley Library hold a sale

    The Friends of the West Valley Library will hold a lobby book sale on March 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will include specially priced books, tapes, CDs and videos. Proceeds from the sale will be used for new materials and programs for the library, located at 1243 San Thomas Aquino Road, San Jose. For more information, call 408.244.4766.

    Taize service includes music, meditation

    A Taize service will be held on March 13, 20, 27, April 3 and 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Stone Church of Willow Glen, 1108 Clark Way, San Jose. The ecumenical candlelight service will include music, meditation and sacred silence, and is open to the public. Child-care will be provided.

    Bay Bird Observatory needs volunteers

    The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory needs volunteers to assist biologists with fieldwork, including counting birds, eggs and chicks in various locations around the Bay.
