Indian Health Center offers free clinic to screen diabetes
On Wednesday, March 10, Meridian Avenue's Indian Health Center sponsors a free diabetes clinic. The free clinic is open to anyone, including folks without appointments and those who aren't members of the center.
At the clinic, a health-care team will be available to answer questions, lead activities, and provide literature about coping with diabetes. Refreshments and educational videos will also be offered.
Throughout 1999, Indian Health Center staff will host the free service on the second Wednesday of each month. In March, presenter Laura Kinsella will discuss the importance of a lowfat diet.
The Indian Health Center is located at 1333 Meridian Avenue. For more information, call 445-3400, ext. 501.
