Girls' Basketball

A series of girls' basketball camps will be held at Santa Clara University this summer with sessions starting June 6 through July 31. For more information, call Shaunice Warr at 554-4567.

Soccer Tryouts

The Central Valley UTD Devils under-13 boys' soccer team will hold try-outs for the 1998 season on March 22 and 29, 3-5:30 p.m., at Farnham School, Woodard Avenue off of either Bascom or Union. For more information, call coach Greg Pinelli at 267-0740 or 266-5899.

Nothing But Net

Bud Ogden's Nothing But Net instructional basketball league spring season begins March 21 at West Valley Community College in Saratoga.

The league is open to boys and girls in grades 3-11, and games are played on Saturdays and Sundays at West Valley.

For more information, individual players call 1-800-597-9897; girls' teams (grades 8-11) call Paul Smith at 275-9467; and boys' teams (grades 8-11) call Tony Nunes at 275-9448.

RT Spring League

The annual RT Spring League basketball program, that features games, clinics, contests and tournament, will hold sign-ups and mandatory orientation sessions every Sunday, 3 p.m. or 5 p.m., through March 13 at Del Mar.

The league is open to players in grades 3-12. For more information, call Raymond Townsend at 879-0272 or Steve Wolford at 275-1750.

Roller Hockey

Spring roller hockey leagues will begin in March for youngsters through high school age, hosted by the city of San Jose.

Youth league play begins March 14. The cost per player is $40 for the six-game season, and lessons are also available.

High school roller hockey competition will begin on March 24. The cost is $400 per team for the six-game season plus play-offs.

Willow Glen Colt

Phone registration is now being accepted for the 1998 Willow Glen Colt League season. The league is open to players ages 15-16. For more information, call 294-7109 or 526-1600.
