Joseph Miller-Trovato, son of Laura and Joe Trovato of Willow Glen, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, and Military Occupation Specialty school at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

In basic training, Miller-Trovato successfully completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge recruits both physically and mentally. In addition to the physical conditioning program, Miller-Trovato learned combat war survival, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and assorted weapons training.

Miller-Travato and other recruits also received instruction in the Marine Corps core values--honor, courage and commitment--and what those words mean in guiding personal and professional conduct.

At Military Occupation Specialty school (supply administration), Private First Class Miller-Trovato recently graduated third in his class.
