YMCA Sports
The Central YMCA is offering a sports program for kids ages 3-6. The program, which runs for six weeks on Saturday mornings at the YMCA gym, includes basketball, floor hockey and soccer. For more information, call 408.298.1717, ext. 60.
WGLL turning 50
The Willow Glen Little League will celebrate its 50th anniversary with special activities during opening day ceremonies on March 18 at Willow Street Park.
The league is looking for past players, coaches, managers and board members to participate. Anyone affiliated with the league since its inception 50 years ago is urged to call the league hotline at 408.450.8502.
JV Coach needed
Willow Glen head varsity field hockey coach Peggy Booth is looking for a junior varsity coach for the fall season. For more information, call Booth at 408.535.6330.
Spring Coaches
High school coaches are reminded to send us their spring sports schedules, rosters and completed questionnaires so that we can begin coverage of the 2000 season.
Packets were faxed to athletic directors at area high schools, and they were asked to distribute the information to the spring coaches. So far, only a few have been returned.

Fencing Classes
The Fencing Center will hold classes in foil, sabre and epee at its downtown San Jose location, 110 Stockton Ave. Equipment is provided, and classes are for those ages 9 and up. For more information, call 408.298.8230 or contact their website at www.fencing.com.
Fast Pitch Clinics
A fast pitch softball clinic for girls ages 10-14 is slated for March 19, noon-2 p.m., at the Willow Glen High School field. The cost is $10 per player. For more information, call 510.789.2141.
PAL Baseball
The San Jose PAL is accepting signups for the 2000 season for players ages 7-16.
Signups for players ages 13-16 are held at San Jose PAL Stadium. Players must provide a birth certificate. For more information, call Mark Muldron at 408.928.6103.
