Golfers Are 6-0
Ryan Radjabi and Nick Baretto were stuck at 39 last week, but it was OK with Willow Glen golf coach Bob Parker.
The two Rams fired matching 39s in back-to-back wins over Andrew Hill last week as the Willow Glen golf team pushed its record to 6-0 in the Santa Teresa Division of the BVAL.
Radjabi and Baretto were each four-over par with their 39s in a 223-350 win over Hill at the Santa Teresa Golf Course.
Earlier in the week, both Radjabi and Baretto carded five-over 39s in a 213-312 Willow Glen win over Hill at the Spring Valley Golf Course. Will Howsman was close behind at 42 with Patrick Postel at 43 and Scott Peltz at 50.
Baseball Camps
Santa Clara University will hold youth baseball camps for Little League age players April 9-11 and April 16-18. The camps will cover hitting, pitching and defense. The cost for the camps, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, is $100. For more information, call 650.207.8665.
Great Race
There's not much time to prepare, so runners had better step up the pace if they hope to compete in the annual Great Race, a 4-mile race from Saratoga to Los Gatos set for April 7.
More than 2,500 participants are expected for the event, which will wrap up with festivities in downtown Los Gatos. The race is sponsored by the Los Gatos Rotary Club.
The preregistration fee of $25 includes a T-shirt. Registration forms are available in Los Gatos at Runners Factory, 51 University Ave., and at Athletic Performance, 55 W. Main St. Register online at www.losgatosrotary.org or call 408.980.7233 for more information.
Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. and the cost is $30, including a race T-shirt. The race begins at 9 a.m. at Big Basin Way and 3rd Street.
Annual Run
The 12th annual LSI Logic Class Run 10K run and 5K run/walk will be held April 14, 9 a.m., at 1501 McCarthy Blvd. in Milpitas. The registration fee is $20 before April 7 or $25 on race day. The course is flat, paved and fast. For more information, call the race hotline at 408.433.8525 or visit http://classicrun.lsilogic.com.
