DeCinzo's take on honest teen was a really cheap shot

Shame on you, Mr. DeCinzo! Adults keep complaining about how bad teenagers are these days, but when one with as much maturity, morals and integrity as Joseph Pineda returns a wallet with a large sum of money, you found it necessary to poke fun at him.

I feel that Joseph is a great example of the majority of our young people. There are a lot of great kids out there doing great things for their community and your cartoon in the March 21 issue of The Resident disgusts me.

Young people from Willow Glen Elementary, Middle and High schools are currently forming teams, raising money and committing to walk for 18 hours at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in May. Why don't you find something rude to draw about that one, Mr. DeCinzo?

    Correction

A March 21 article in The Resident ("District to adopt survey designed by students at Willow Glen High") should have said that Marcy Lauck is volunteering work on the survey. She is not being paid by Willow Glen's Associated Student Body.
