Farmers' market opens in the Glen

The Willow Glen farmers' market started up again last weekend, and Glenites can catch the fun every Saturday until fall.

The first Saturday of every month will be Gardeners' Day. Master gardeners and landscape designers will be on site to give Glenites a helping hand with their gardens.

The second Saturday of each month will be Craft Day, and two to three local artists will attend the market to show and sell their creations. On the third Saturday a chef from a local restaurant will barbecue and demonstrate cooking techniques. The last Saturday of the month is Children's Day. Storytellers, clowns and zoo keepers will keep children entertained.

The market runs from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday at Willow Glen Elementary School at Lincoln and Minnesota avenues.
