Hacienda celebrates spring on April 25

Art, refreshments and a raffle are some of the ingredients of spring to be spotlighted at Hacienda Elementary School on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The school's Spring Fling will support Hacienda with a silent auction featuring 250 items up for bid, a raffle with about 15 prizes, refreshments and a walkathon, said event chair Ellen Fowler. The silent auction will have three rounds, closing at 12:15, 1:30 and 2:45 p.m.

Students will also show off their Art Vista projects, created during a program in which parent volunteers go into classrooms and talk about famous artists--then students express their inspirations in art.

If it rains, the alternate date for the event is May 9. Hacienda is located at 1290 Kimberly Drive and can be reached at 535-6259.
