Glenopoly passes go, hits market

The games people play start to pay off Saturday, May 2. In conjunction with the first day of the Willow Glen Farmers' Market, Willow Glen Business and Professional Association members will show off their own "Glenopoly," which boasts many prizes.

The WGBPA will hand out Glenopoly fliers in the shape of game boards at the market, which takes place at Willow Glen Elementary School from 8 a.m. to noon, said association manager Demetri Rizos.

The Glenopoly boards' squares are coupons for free merchandise or bargains at participating merchants, and can only be used on May 2.

"To get the freebie, you have to take the flier into the store," Rizos said.

Glenopoly goodies include $5 jeans at Our Secret, free checking accounts at Home Savings of America and sales-tax-free purchases at Willow Glen Kitchen & Bath.
