Bingo players meet weekly at center

And the battle over the five big letters continues every Wednesday at 1:15 p.m., when the weekly bingo game comes to the Willows Senior Center at 2175 Lincoln Ave. Paper cards, cherry bells and dobbers are for sale at the door, and free refreshments and door prizes are offered. Cash prizes range from $60 to $99 per game, and players must be 18 or older. For more information, call 448-6400.

Senior legislators speak throughout Santa Clara County

The new members representing Santa Clara County in the California Senior Legislature, which proposes legislation to meet the needs of older Californians, will be speaking throughout the county during the month of May. They plan to talk about their role and responsibilities as senior legislators and answer questions from the audience.

The new legislators are Robert O. Jaffe, George F. Miskulin and C.J. Thompson, all of San Jose; and James Wright of Morgan Hill. Speaking times and dates include engagements at 10 a.m. May 16 at Cypress Gardens at 3555 Judro Way in San Jose, 10 a.m. May 19 at the Campbell Community Center at 1 W. Campbell Ave. in Campbell and 2 p.m. May 21 at Good Samaritan Hospital, 2425 Samaritan Drive, San Jose.

Line dancing and movies at Terraces

Some love country music, while others prefer a heated discussion of current issues. With its variety of ongoing programs for seniors, The Terraces in Los Gatos aims to cater to everyone. Programs include bridge classes, music appreciation, contemporary-issue discussions, line dancing, computer support groups and bimonthly Monday-night movies. Sunnyvale program turns out Net-savvy South Bay seniors

The Internet's not just for 14-year-olds anymore--people of all ages are jumping on the Web, including seniors. Free guided tours of the Internet are available for seniors every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. at the Digital Clubhouse at the Sunnyvale Town Center. Those interested should call 481-0880 to make reservations. The Town Center is located at 2505 Town Center Lane.
