Grapevine now offers wine tasting hours

Willow Glen wine retailer, The Grapevine, has just popped the cork on new wine tasting hours. Cara Finn and Patrick Rupert, co-owners of the store at 1389 Lincoln Ave., held their kickoff tasting event on April 26 for the members of their wine club. They will hold tastings on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights.

On Tuesday nights the owners will pour two-ounce tastes of wines, themed by region, varietal or winery, Finn said. Participation will be by reservation, the tasting will cost between $25 and $50 and the wine will be accompanied by appetizers from local restaurants, she said.

Fridays and Saturdays, between 4 and 8 p.m., they will open a variety of different bottles, charging between $2 and $4 for each taste, Finn said.
