    Dinner and auction benefit WG library

    St. Elizabeth's Day Home will host its annual "Be An Angel" dinner and auction on May 12, at 5 p.m., beginning with appetizers and live music, followed by a silent and live auction. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Prizes to be auctioned off include a beach house rental, hotel stays and sports memorabilia. Proceeds from the event will go to the program's playground renovation. The event will take place at the day home at 1544 McKinley Ave. in San Jose. St. Elizabeth's Day Home is a nonprofit child-care center sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family.
