Adult Leagues
San Jose is holding registration for adult softball and basketball and is a hosting drop-in volleyball league at the Camden Community Center.
The city offers softball leagues Monday through Friday for players ages 18 and over. The fees run from $485 to $545 per team.
Basketball leagues are conducted Monday through Thursday, 7-9 p.m.
The fees run from $375 to $480 per team.
Drop-in volleyball leagues for ages 15-17 and adults are held Mondays, 7-10 p.m., at the Camden Community Center. The cost is $1 for youths and $3 for adults.

Sports Writing Scholarship
The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame has announced its annual Art Rosenbaum High School Sports Writing Scholarship program for high school juniors and seniors.
The Hall of Fame, in conjunction with the Saints and Sinners, will award a $2,500 scholarship for the best sports story by a high school junior or senior that appeared in their school publication, $1,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place.

Field Hockey
Eighth-grade girls who plan to attend Willow Glen in the fall and play on the field hockey team should contact head coach Peggy Booth for signup information.

Freestyle Program
Willow Glen will begin a freestyle wrestling program for those ages 6-18 interested in learning how to wrestle. The group meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-6:30 p.m., in the small gym at Willow Glen. For more information, call Willow Glen wrestling coach Phil Luna at 408.629.6881.
PAL Football
The Willow Glen Rams are currently holding signups for the fall 2001 youth tackle football season beginning. Willow Glen fields four teams in PAL play. For information, call Chris Rohr at 408.723.3307.
