Great Mall hires new marketing director
Milpitas' Great Mall shopping center has hired Willow Glen resident Louise Gliozzo as its new marketing director. Gliozzo previously held public relations and marketing positions at Altera Corporation, KLA Instruments and NEC Electronics Inc. According to Dan Cetina, Great Mall's senior vice president and general manager, Gliozzo's duties will include overseeing all public relations and advertising activities for the mall, coordinating events at the mall and maintaining communications with mall staff and store merchants.

Allstate Insurance has honored Willow Glen agents John and Connie Lozon with the Honor Ring award for being top producers of sales in auto, property, commercial and life insurance. Husband-and-wife interior designers Eric and Brandi Susewitz recently opened Russell Williams & Associates at 1086 Camino Ricardo in Willow Glen. The Susewitzes' new business specializes in 75 styles of cabinetry made from a variety of hand-selected woods manufactured in Oakland. Lead time for cabinets is three to four weeks upon placement of order with the manufacturer. Downtown development to be discussed
The San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a "Silicon Valley Morning Buzz" discussion focusing on the development of downtown San Jose on May 28, 7:30-9 a.m., at Bella Mia Restaurant, 58 S. First St., San Jose. San Jose City Councilwoman Cindy Chavez will discuss such development issues as visions for the downtown area and the future of retail business in the area. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions following Chavez's presentation. A continental breakfast and coffee will be served during the meeting.
