    False Fundraising for WG Football

Teachers and coaches at Willow Glen High School are concerned that a youth posing as a freshman football player at the school is falsely soliciting donations for the team from nearby residents.

Athletic director and football coach Bob Parker said he has heard of several incidents in the past two weeks of people giving money to a polite young man, who came to their doors and asked for checks made out to an individual.

"I'm very concerned about it," he said. "Our fundraising is August and there is always a product exchanged. We don't send kids out, and we certainly don't have them write checks to anything other than Willow Glen Football."

Parker said he has alerted the school's vice principal of discipline, Adrian Kirk, to the incidents. To report an incident, call Kirk at 535.6330.
