    All-Comer Meets

    Los Gatos will host the 22nd annual series of summer All-Comer Track and Field meets on its high school track.

    Meets are slated for Thursday evenings (June 28, July 5, 12, 19 and 26, and Aug. 2, 9 and 16). Pole vault competition begins at 5 p.m. with the rest of the field events getting under way at 5:30 p.m. Track events begin at 6 p.m.

    Competition will be in the following divisions: open men and women, high school boys and girls, masters men and women, and age group for kids in most events.

    The entry fee is $3 for unlimited events, and the cost is $2 for spectators. Proceeds go toward the upkeep and resurfacing cost of the Los Gatos track.

    Holy City Race

    The annual Holy City Race returns to the small town in the Santa Cruz Mountains on June 17, 7:30 a.m. There is a $3 registration fee. For information, call 831.866.2365.

    Youth Soccer

    Registration will be held for the Willow Glen PAL youth soccer season on June 16, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at River Glen Park. The program is open to boys and girls ages 5-15. New players must provide proof of age and all players need to provide a small photo. The registration fee is $55 per player. Call 408.265.2144.

    South Bay Soccer

    The South Bay Youth Soccer League will hold signups for the fall season on June 16, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at River Glen Park, corner of Pine and Bird avenues in Willow Glen.

    The league fields teams in the under-6 to under-14 divisions for boys and girls, and the emphasis is on family fun and skill development. There are free coaching clinics and a season-ending tournament and picnic.

    All-Star Football

    Football's finest high school seniors will be back on the field this summer when the 27th annual Silicon Valley Youth Classic Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game returns to the Santa Clara Valley.

    The tradition will continue when the game, hosted by the Rotary Club of Almaden Valley, is played on July 25, 7:30 p.m., but the location will be brand new. For the first time, the game will be played at the Independence High School stadium in east San Jose.

    Presentation to hold softball camps for girls

    Camps are slated for July 9-13 for players in grades 7-8 of all skills levels, and July 16-20 for players in grades 9-10 from intermediate to experienced (school/traveling team).

    Presentation coach Ray Malley and his varsity and junior varsity coaching staffs will provide the camp instruction that will include fundamentals, hitting, fielding, base running, pitching, catching, outfield and infield play, conditioning and game play.

    Camp hours are 9 a.m.-noon and the cost is $135 per player. For more information, call Malley at 408.978.9640.
