Water Wizard Day Camp for children
Guadalupe River Park and Gardens will host the Water Wizard Day Camp for children, Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 25 through Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no camp the week of July 2. Children will learn about the river, water conservation and local history through fun, hands-on activities, such as habitat hunts, archeological digs and water experiments. 'Drugs and Your Kids'

'Not of This World' film
The seven-time winner of the David di Donatello award, Italy's answer to the Oscar, "Not of This World" will be playing on June 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Camera 3 Theater, 288 S. Second St., in downtown San Jose. The film will be shown as part of a dinner program hosted by The Italian American Heritage Foundation from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Cost for the film and dinner is $18; $12 for dinner only; and $7 for the film only. 'Beauty and the Beast' comes to San Jose
Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the Tony award-winning musical, is coming to the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement, beginning Aug. 29. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, Sundays at 7:30 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. and a matinee performance on Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. The show closes Sept. 16. Tickets range from $25 to $65, depending on performance time and seat location, and are on sale at the American Musical Theatre of San Jose box office, 1717 Technology Drive, San Jose. Summer solstice celebration, benefit
The Divine Science Community Center will host a summer solstice celebration and benefit on June 23, at 7 p.m. at 1540 Hicks Ave., San Jose. The public is welcome to join the sacred medicine wheel and music circle with rattles, drums and guitars. The celebration will also include singing crystal bowls, a flute concert and a native sound journey. Donations are requested for the parking lot fund. Call 408.293.3838 for more information.
