District 6 resident endorses Ken Yeager for City Council

Ken Yeager is a proven leader, neighborhood activist and the most qualified candidate for City Council District 6. I encourage Willow Glen residents to vote for Ken this November. He is a forceful advocate for the needs for all neighborhoods in District 6. He is a consensus builder, while being respectful and considerate of differing opinions.

He is an independent thinker. Ken was with the neighborhoods in supporting Measure O last March, which sought to balance massive airport expansion with the necessary traffic improvements. One of his biggest supporters, Mayor Gonzales, opposed Measure O.

Ken is an elected member of the Community College Board, which gives him experience in balancing multi-million dollar budgets and working with other elected officials. City Council is not a place for on the job training. Ken will hit the road running.

A broad coalition of neighborhood activists, police officers, teachers, families and environmentalists support Ken for Council. Join us in voting for Ken Yeager.

    Correction

Due to an editing mistake, the Resident misidentified the owners of Hicklebee's bookstore in a photograph that ran in last week's paper. Valerie Lewis and Monica Holmes are the owners of the children's bookstore. Carol Schweppe is a store employee. The Resident apologizes for the error.
