    New Furniture and Consignment Store

There is new hope for those looking to turn their house into a home.

Jim Lindbloom and Diane Larson opened Pentimento on Lincoln Avenue in April to provide new and consignment furniture. as well as interior decorating assistance.

The store, just north of Coe Avenue at 999B Lincoln Ave., has furniture and accessories arranged as they would be in a home. Lindbloom said they want to make it easier for people to incorporate interesting pieces into their own interiors.

Caltrain Service for Fourth of July

Caltrain will operate a Sunday schedule for the Fourth of July holiday, with extra trains added to accommodate people heading to fireworks shows in San Francisco from the South Bay. In addition to the regular 20 trains operating on a holiday schedule, northbound trains will depart San Jose at 1:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., making all weekend local stops.

After the fireworks show on the San Francisco waterfront, trains will leave the city when full. One of the post-fireworks trains will operate as an express to San Carlos, then make local stops on the way to San Jose.

The San Francisco Municipal Railway will run shuttles between Caltrain's terminal at Fourth and King streets and Pier 39. The last southbound train is scheduled to leave San Francisco at 11:59 p.m., though it could be delayed based on traffic conditions for the Muni shuttles.

Caltrain also offers transportation to the fireworks show at Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara. Caltrain riders can transfer to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Agency's light rail line at the Mountain View Caltrain station to get to Great America.

An extra northbound train will depart San Jose at 10 p.m., also departing the Mountain View station at 10:20 p.m. The extra train will be followed by train No. 299, which leaves San Jose at 10:30 p.m. and departs Mountain View at 10:49 p.m.

Caltrain will not operate south of Tamien station in San Jose all day on the Fourth. Passengers can purchase tickets at vending machines at all stations. For schedule or fare information, call Caltrain at 800.660.4287 or go to www.caltrain.com.
