Church welcomes all to art show

Skyland Church, at 25100 Skyland Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains, invites all members of the community to attend the Intergenerational Art and Craft Show, a June 30 event taking place from 7 to 10 p.m. in conjunction with an outdoor concert by The Copper Family. The show will also be on display July 2, from noon to 2 p.m. during the church's Fourth of July barbecue.

The show features 17 artists who work in the mediums of oil, acrylic, clay, photography, textiles, greeting cards and lavender products. The artists are of all ages and levels of experience, ranging from students to hobbyists to professionals.

The Copper Family sings traditional folks songs of farming, the sea, love and life in rural 18th and 19th century England. Their a cappella numbers are known as "Coppersongs" by their fans and family. Bob Copper, 86, is the family patriarch, and an author, poet, collector and storyteller who keeps the details of his folksy farm life alive in modern-day America.

Admission to the concert is $15 per person. For information, call 408.353.4366.
