Local pianist gives Chopin recital
Los Gatan Erna Schloh will give a piano recital of music by Frédéric Chopin on July 30, at 8 p.m., at the Saratoga Foothill Club clubhouse, 20399 Park Place in Saratoga.
The Los Gatos Arts Commissioner and director of Los Gatos Chamber Music holds a bachelor's degree in music from the Universidad de Chile, Escuela Moderna de Music and a master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has played as a soloist and in chamber music groups in Chile, Mexico and throughout the Bay Area. She is also the president of the South Bay Youth Orchestra.
At the Saratoga Foothill Club, Schloh will perform some of Chopin's ballads, scherzos, waltzes, nocturnes, polonaises, etudes and mazurkas.
