Daisy Patch owners host retirement bash

After 23 years in business, Daisy Patch owners Judie Block and Lynette Clarke are inviting the Willow Glen community to celebrate their retirement.

Block and Clarke opened their home-accessory store in 1976 in the space on Lincoln Avenue now occupied by the Willow Glen Coffee Roasting Company. They moved the shop in 1979 to its current location at Lincoln and Minnesota avenues.

The retirement party, however, will be held at the former Daisy Patch and current Coffee Roasting Company location at 1383 Lincoln Ave. The celebration is set for Thursday, July 2, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Block and Clarke sold their store to Laura Augusta, who is changing its name to L'Daisy Patch and planning renovations, including construction of a garden behind the store where customers can relax with free coffee and tea.
