San Jose Unified postpones hearing on Proposition 227

The San Jose Unified School District has indefinitely postponed a public hearing on Proposition 227, the initiative passed in June to eliminate bilingual education in schools. The hearing was originally set for June 29.

The district is seeking input as to whether to apply for a waiver to the proposition. The public will be notified when the district sets a new hearing date.
